Lili’s Biker Cake – Made and Tasted!

It’s been a couple of weeks since my friend Lili wrote her wonderful guest post introducing her special cake that she created specially for me to enjoy on my Harley travels. You can find that post here.

I am pleased to report that I have finally got around to trying out Lili’s amazing recipe, here is the photographic evidence, yes I did do it all by myself and no food processors were used in the whole process!

Carefully folding in the fruit.

As the cake baked, our kitchen filled with a tempting aroma. The first look when it came out of the oven was encouraging!
I wish you could smell this, it's wonderful!

I let the cake cool before “Feeding it” with the Juice and Booze as per Lili’s recipe.
Then tonight…
Oh blazes, this is looking soooo good!

…came the tasting…I can’t really say anything except “Fantástico!” (Lili lives in Barcelona)

Lili, my cake making friend and genius, your cake is seriously good! Now all I need to do is fire up Harley and head off out for a field trial! Thank you so very much for everything you did to make this possible!

“Bread of heaven, feed me ’til I want no more!”

Catch you soon.

  1. Hi Dookes! I’m so happy you like your cake and you finally got to taste it!! It looks delicious (beautiful colours and texture) and that’s a lovely post and great photos too! Very excited that you made the cake and kind of impressed, a little scared but also very amused by your full-on biker get up, which you need to make cakes of course! 🙂 You’re very welcome and thank you for making your cake and reporting back like this so I could see it! 🙂

    • Lili, like you once said “I wish you could taste it!” I’m glad you approve of my effort, actually Mrs Dookes thinks it’s pretty good too.
I think we made a pretty good team on this one, but it’s mostly your hard work so take a bow!
Didn’t you know that us bikers dress like that all the time? 🙂

      • HI Dookes, yes I do wish I could taste it too!! And I agree about the great teamwork though I think you did the heavy lifting or beating this time! 🙂 I live and learn – no, I did not know bikers dressed like that to make cakes! Now feeling more informed … 🙂

  3. LOL… This is a great post! I love how you don’t have any cake mixture on your gloves or your helmet! If it was me there would be more cake on my person than in the bowl!!!
